Kansas Values for a better Tomorrow

Community, Hard work, and Fairness to All.

Henry Johns for Kansas House

What does Kansas Need?

Leadership to Improve the Quality of Life and Ensure Prosperity of our Communities.

Healthcare Access

The recent pandemic taught us the need of having a robust Public Health Service and access to medical care.

I think of the seniors and persons with health challenges,  who would like to remain in their homes, in their town or on their farm.  Too often there is no access to home care or local medical services in a community, that force people to leave their homes to look elsewhere for care.

I feel Women, are treated as second class citizens when it comes to healthcare access. They are told what they can or can not do concerning their care by outsiders . This needs to stop, women’s healthcare decisions should be up to women and their physicians.

Too often, people can not afford healthcare insurance and go without medical care, fracturing the quality of life. Kansas left millions of Federal dollars on the table and thousands uninsured when it refused to expand medicaid. This needs to be corrected.

Education

The first sentience of the Kansas Construction, under Article 6, says, “ The legislature shall provide for intellectual, educational, vocational and scientific improvement by establishing and maintaining public schools.”

I believe that our forefathers considered education of our young to be important for the continued growth and prosperity of our state. We need Policies that strengthen and grow Public School. We need Policies that support Teachers and give them the tools they need to educate.

Communities with Fair & Equal Treatment

If asked, most people would say Fairness to All, is simply treating others as we would like to be treated.  With fairness, kindness, and respect.    Fairness under the law, where oppression of children, those who are different, the poor, and the weak is not tolerated or condoned.  Where opportunity, equality and justice are the rule of law.  And the law is not twisted to punish the innocent or the new comer to our great state.

Protecting our neighbors, not oppressing them.

AS KANSANS, There is more that unites us than divides us

Common Ground

Healthcare Access

We want a plan that keeps our seniors in their homes as they age. That improves access to life saving care and protects communities. And protects a woman’s right to healthcare access.

Educational opportunity in your communities

We want to create a bright future in Kansas by making sure our children are educated and have equal opportunity. Supporting our hardworking teachers and giving them the tools they need educate.

Protection of Our Liberties and Fairness for All

I want to ensure that you are always represented in each new law and in regulations that pass through the Statehouse.
