The 66th annual Maple Leaf Festival in Baldwin City was a wonderful event! Lots of great booths full of interesting things. Lots of great food from so many businesses, one of my favorites was the handheld “Chicken Pot Pie” from Homestead Kitchen & Bakery. I enjoyed being at the Douglas County Democrats Booth and meeting lots of folks from the area.
I was asked why I was running for the Statehouse and the short answer was, “I don’t like the direction current legislature going”.
I was asked about my platform, I am : in favor of fiscal responsibility; in favor of family farms and agribusiness; in favor of Public Schools and Teachers; in favor of supporting our children and helping them grow; in favor of developing a clean and secure energy future for Kansas; in favor of full access to Healthcare for Women; in keeping quality Healthcare available in our communities so people have a better quality of life; in favor of expanding Medicaid; in favor of protecting our rights and freedoms as citizens.
I am looking forward to meeting more people in the District as we move ahead!
