Once again more senseless gun violence has destroyed lives at a school. School is a place where students of any age should feel safe. From an elementary school 14 years ago, to a college this weekend. The children of Sandyhook sould be in college now, the victims of the last shooting should be taking finals and preparing to enter the work world, instead, we have lost all the possibilities they would have brought us.
Common since firearm safety laws are needed, have been needed in this nation for far too long. Before you start running around with your hair on fire, I am not talking about scraping the 2nd Amendment. I’m talking about strict background checks, training requirements and safe storage. Nothing will stop all shootings, look at the laws of other nations when recent shootings have occurred that are so much tighter than in this country.
We can improve safety without loosing rights, but it takes some effort and common sense. Demand Action! Protect out children.
