With only a week left until the general election, you might think things would be winding down, but they are not. Now we are in the last phase of the campaign, still trying to reach the undecided voters, still trying to get our message out. I had hoped for more personal contact, but it seems you never have enough time, energy or help to get that job done. You always feel like you could have had one more conversation, one more engagement to win a vote.
My schedule remains full and more events are added each day. Sometimes it seems like I am running in circles, trying to keep up and get ahead.
Many of the people I have spoken with in the past week had already voted. Early voting seems to be setting records in many of our counties. Will we move forward or regress into a past that nearly bankrupted the state? We will know after the polls close on November 5th.
